Sylvia Stark, 86, of 101 First St., Oconto died October 17, 2000 at the Oconto Memorial Hospital.
Sylvia was born November 18, 1918 at Antigo, WI to the late Mike and Anna (Martinek) Svaton. Sylvia was a Pediatric Nurse in Chicago where she met Bernard Stark. The couple was married in Chicago in December of 1944. She was an active member of the United Methodist church and its organizations.
Survivors include her husband Bernard; a son, Peter Stark, Oconto; a brother, Jim (Mary Anne) Svaton, Antigo; two sisters, Annie Hatton, Antigo and Blanche Nelson, Oconto. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mayme Ehlers.
Friends called at the United Methodist Church, Oconto from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2000. The funeral service was 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Federik Schulz officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto assisted the family.
