Sister Florentne Rajkowski, 96,
dies March 28, 1989 in Stevens Point ,Wis.

Sister Florentine of St. Joseph, Third order of St. Francis, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Covent Infirmary. Services will be held Thusday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Covent Chapel. The Rev. John N. Mauel will officiate. Burial will be in the convent cemetery.

Friends may call after 4pm today at the convent parlor. A vigil service will be held at 6:30 in the chapel. The Daikowski - Pisaski funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

She born Frances Rakjowski, on Aug 11, 1891 in Winona, Minn. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph on May 10, 1907, and was admitted to the novitiate on Aug. 11, 1909. She pronounced her first vows on July 23, 1912, and her final commitment on Aug. 5, 1918. Sister Rajkowski lived in religious vows for 81 years, having celebrated her diamond anniversary of religious life in 1984. Her teaching career included Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. After her long teaching career she retired in 1970, however, she tutored children until 1981.

Sister Rajkowski is survived by nieces and nephews. She was a teacher at Krakow school and at Pulaski school.
