Stella Lambrecht, 75, Gillett, died Wednesday morning, August 1, 2001 at home with her family present of complications from heart failure and diabetes.

She was born December 1, 1925 in Oconto Falls to Richard and Elizabeth (Messenger) French. She grew up in rural Oconto Falls and attended Sunny Slope School. On June 17, 1944 she married Myrl Lambrecht in Shawano. Stella has lived on the family farm most of her life and at one time waitressed at the former Casba. She also worked at Mirro Aluminum, Gillett-Mosling Plywood, Whitings Cheese Factory and Country Gardens in Gillett. She enjoyed country music, baking and cooking for her family and friends. Stella also loved just being with her children and grandchildren. v

Survivors are her children, Carole (Bill) Helser, Shiocton; Sandra (Neil Bigelow) Lambrecht, Oconto Falls; Myrl (Kathy) Lambrecht, Gillett; four grandsons; one sister-in-law, Hollie Wilson, Oconto Falls; special cousin, Bea Miller, Lena; a special granddog, Oreo; stepchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Myrl on January 27, 1969.

Friends called on Friday at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Funeral service was held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bil Sutlief officiating. Burial in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
