He was born December 8, 1961 to the late Edward and Edith (Nelson) Wal in Spruce, WI. Steven served in the US Army. He was a truck driver for E. J. Peter Trucking in Wausau.
Survivors are his girlfriend, Holly Klausegger, Eagle River; daughter, Cloey Klausegger, Eagle River; four brothers, Edward (Sue) Wal, Michigan; Andrew Wal, Rhinelander; Matthew (Joan)Wal, Marshfield; Allen Wal, New Lisbon; two sisters, Dorieanne (Mark) Bartlette, Kansas City, MO; Elaine (Tad) Garesha, Prescott, AZ; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends called 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2000 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., Green Bay where the funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. with Captain David Harvey. Burial at Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
His big hands matched his big heart. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
