Word was received Monday night by Mr and Mrs Andrew Checki, R1, Lena, that their son , Pfc Stanley Checki with the U.S. Marines in Korea, was killed in a vehicle accident. The Marine had been wounded in action on Nov. 29, 1950, but later had returned to duty.

A graduate of the Lena High school in 1947, he enlisted in the Marines in 1948. He is the only son of the Checkis and is survived also by a sister, Mrs. Louis Pawiak, of Green Bay.
