Reverend Gerald Schmidt, OFM, Cap., 61, Pastor of St. Ambrose Parish, Wabeno and St. Mary of the Lakes, Lakewood, Crooked Lake and Silver Cliff, died Saturday, May 13, 2000.
Visitation was at St. Ambrose Church in Wabeno. A prayer service was held. Mass of Christian burial was Wednesday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at the church with Concelebrants Provincial Father Perry McDonald, St. Joseph province, Detroit and Bishop Robert A. Banks, Green Bay, and other area clergy. Memorials appreciated to Capuchin Retirement Fund or St. Ambrose Parish.
