-Funeral services for Raymond Vollmer were conducted at ten am today, Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic church, the Rev. P.J. Grosnick officiating at the requiem mass. The remains were borne to their resting place in the Catholic cemetery by Messrs. W. Kurten, James Monahan, Raymond Hertwig, Earl Morrisey, Loris Sagle and Walter Nelson of Underhill. Undertaker Flatley was in charge of the services.

The young man passed away late Monday at the Wisconsin General hospital at Madison, after a short illness which had been followed by an operation. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vollmer were with him at the time. Mr. Vollmer was born in Hilbert on the 7th of December 1901, but when he was 17 months old, his parents moved to a farm near Lena. They lived there until he was a lad of eight, when they came to Oconto Falls, which place has been his home ever since. He attended the parochial school and the local high school. Later working for the paper mill up to the time it closed down, July 1, 1930.

Besides his sorrowing parents, Raymond is survived by 6 sisters and 2 brothers, namely, Miss Tillie Vollmer, Lexington, Ky.; Mrs. E. Cooper, Portland, Oregon; Sister Mary Paul, Mingo Junction, Ohio; Mrs. W.C. Nelson, San Francisco, Cal.; Mrs. R.B. Nelson, Chicago; Mrs. Homer Moore, Wabveno, and Fred, Jr., and John, both of Portland. With the exception of those living on the Pacific coast, the near relatives attended the rites.
