She was born to the late Joseph and Catherine (Sinclair) Vanderperren December 6, 1907 in Mill Center, WI. Rosalie married Clem Huberty February 27, 1930 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death February 28, 1958. "Ma" Huberty owned and operated the Hy-Way Lunch in Lena for many years. While in the restaurant, Rosalie was very active with high school student activities. She was honored as a former business owner by the Lena Civic Club on May 8, 1995. Rosalie moved to Green Bay where she was a seamstress at Nau's Clothing store until her retirement. She enjoyed being with friends and family, sewing, card playing and cooking. She especially enjoyed beating her kids in cribbage.
Survivors include Rita (Larry) Martens, Pell City, AL; Art (Cathy) and daughter-in-law, Sandy Huberty both of Lena; Carl (Sandy) Huberty, Athens, GA; John (Mary Lynn) Huberty, De Pere; and Leah (Bob)) Dumke, Joe (Carol) and Tony (Ginny) Huberty all of Green Bay. Rosalie is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Clyde, a son, Ken Huberty, a grandson, Andy Huberty, and seven brothers and two sisters.
Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena. A vigil service was held. The Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena with Father Peter Taylor officiating. Interment at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Lena.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established in Rosalie's name.
