Richard T. Baumgartner, 84, Bonita Road, Suring died December 5, 1998 at the Gillett Nursing Home. He was born May 15, 1914 in Gillett to the late Louis Baumgartner and Mary Mills. Richard was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed. He married Alice Atwood May 16, 1945, and had been employed by Seaburger Block in Gary, Indiana until returning to Breed in 1966. He was employed by Sweeney Bros. Construction until retiring in 1976. His favorite hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his three daughters, Shirley (James) Thompson of Suring; Lillie King of Mountain; Patricia (Howard) Grace of Wausaukee; his three sons, Richard (Barbara) Baumgartner, Lloyd Baumgartner both of Suring; David (Jody) Garrigus of Denver, CO; his brother, Louis Baumgartner of Suring; his sister, Dale (Awaid) Quandt of Suring; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Alice on December 1, 1994, also two brothers and four sisters. Friends called at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring. Funeral services were held Tuesday 11 a.m. at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Kempfer officiating. Burial in Breed Union Cemetery.
