Oconto Man Dies Friday
For many years Mr. Scholtz was employed by the Oconto County highway department. He retired in 1960. A native of Abrams, he was a lifelong resident of Oconto County. He was born April 11, 1896. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion post, the Odd Fellows and First Presbyterian Church. He was married to the former Ida Siebert on Oct. 24, 1920.
She survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Robert Herman of Oshkosh; a brother, Gaylor Scholtz of Abrams; a sister, Mrs. Fred Ristow of Oshkosh and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Gallagher Funeral home where final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday The Rev. Robert Hollett will officiate.
