Rick was born August 6, 1946 to Paul "Ki" and Harriett (Hanes) Brabant. He was a graduate of Oconto High School where he was active in sports. He then attended and graduated from UW Oshkosh. Rick married the former Linda Brunette on March 31, 1967. He was employed by the City of Oconto for 25 years and was Union Steward for 23. He was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Parish. Rick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Rick was a wonderful husband, father, neighbor and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years Linda; one daughter, Dawn; one son, Wade and special friend Erica; his mother, Harriett; one brother, Roger and special friend Janie all of Oconto; many other relatives and friends. Rick was preceded in death by infant twin sons and a daughter as well as his father Ki and brother Rodney.
Friends called on Thursday at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago St., Oconto. Parish wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corners Park and Madison, Oconto with Father Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
