Mrs. Carl Strom, 69 of Tildon-Avenue, Oconto, died Tuesday April 5 at Oconto Memorial hospital.
The former Ruth Phillips was born Nov. 26, 1907 in Oconto. She married Carl Strom on June 16, 1923 at Menominee, Michigan. The couple farmed in the town of of Little River until 1951 when they moved to Milwaukee. They moved back to Oconto in 1967.
Survivors are her Husband; five daughters, Mrs Irvin (Dorris) Fetterly of R1 Oconto, Mrs. Thaddeus (Bernice) Herkowski of West Allis, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Borkowski of Marinette, Mrs. Ruby Bauman of Oconto, and Mrs. Arlene Folding of Oconto; five sons, Robert of Abrams, Vernon of West Allis, Roy of West Bend, Gerald of R1 Oconto and Alvin of Oconto; two brothers, Leonard of Milwaukee and Jack of R2 Oconto; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Makos of Tempe, Ariz, and Mrs Ernest Barker of Milwaukee; 33 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Gallagher-Pinkart funeral home in Oconto, The Rev. John Rudeer officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Hope cemetery in the town of Little River.
