He was born on June 11, 1953 in Milwaukee, a son of James and Pearl Goss O'Donahue.
Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps from February 1971 until November 1973. He was a member of AMVETS Post 41 of Fond du Lac.
Survivors include three children Richard III, Aaron and Cassandra all of Watertown; his parents, James and Pearl O'Donahue of King; a brother, Douglas Jody Simmons O'Donahue, of Chicago; three sisters Kathleen Michael Peters of Dallas, GA; Nancy Gary Peterson, of Union Grove; Linda O'Donahue, of Alton, IL; two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Derik O'Donahue.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 27 at 2 p.m. at the Main Chapel-Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI, with the Rev. Philip Thompson officiating. Friends called on Saturday, from 12 (Noon) until the time of service at the Main Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
