Ruth M. Arveson MIKKELSON
Ruth M. Mikkelson, 97, Suring, died September
20, 1999 at Community
Memorial Hospital. She was born October 14, 1901 in Maple Valley
to
the late Martin and Ann (McDougal) Arveson. on October 17, 1921
Ruth
married William Mikkelson and the couple lived and farmed in Maple
valley for many years.
She enjoyed playing cards, watching the
Packers, and crocheting. Ruth was a member of the Holy Trinity
Lutheran Church-Maple Valley and it's Ladies Aid. William preceded
her
in death May 3, 1972.
Survivors include LaVerne (Jay) Eklund, Green
Bay; Kay Mueller, Gillett; Don (Phyliss) Pethke, Murphysboro, TN;
Carol Arveson, Suring; special friend Esther Genskow, Surung; 11
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, four sisters, one daughter,
one grandson.
Friends may call at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home
in Suring
Wed. September, 22 1999 from 4-8:00p.m. and at Holy Trinity Lutheran
Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at
11:00. with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in
Frostville.
