Rose Mundt was born in Warsau Poland in February 1856. Her marriage to Louis Krause took place in Lublin Poland. They migrated to America 43 years ago living for the first year in Cleveland, Ohio. They moved to Gillett living there about ten years, after which they settled on a farm in the town of Oconto Falls. Mr. Krause died about twelve years ago.
Mrs. Krause is survived by two sons, Arthur, chairman of the town of Oconto Falls, and Alfred, with whom she made her home. Three daughters, Mrs. Julius Lifke (Augusta) Maple Valley; Mrs. Mike Frederick (Amelia) Oconto Falls and Mrs. Richard Busse (Hulda) Morgan.
Funeral services will be held from the Alfred Krause home at one o'clock on Friday afternoon, the cortege then going to St. Jacob's Lutheran church, where Rev. Lorenz Schultheiss will officiate. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Krause is one of the early settlers of the town of Oconto Falls, and is widely known. She will be missed by a large circle of relatives and friends.
