Richard M. Kramer, 91, a former Pound resident died Saturday, January 27, 2001 at Rennes Health Center-East, Peshtigo.

The son of the late Paul and Josephine Matuzeski Kramer was born August 28, 1909 at Lena. He was married to the former Ella Payette on September 12, 1933 at the former St. John Catholic Church, Coleman. Richard worked at Foral Motors, Lena from 1936-1941 and then at Woulf Motors, Pound from 1941-1955. He then opened up an auto body repair business in Pound which he operated until retirement in 1977. Richard was Fire Chief for the Village of Pound from 1973-75, clerk of the former Roosevelt School board from 1946-55, and was Village President of Pound from 1955-1977. He also managed the Pound baseball team in the Marinette and Oconto League. He was a member of Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman where he served as usher and lector for numerous years. His wife preceded him in death on November 11, 1993.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Romie Kosnar of Green Bay and Pat and Bill Maronek of Stevens Point; one son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Joyce Kramer of Peshtigo; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bernard Kramer of Green Bay; seven sisters, Martha Bintz of Slinger, WI; Theresa Severa of Green Bay, Margaret Wesling of Milwaukee, Manny Mel Kobes of Green Bay, Charity Charles Kroeger of Saukville, WI; Delores Brown of Chicago, IL; and Audrey Earl Piper of Oconto Falls. Besides his parents and wife, Ella, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Charles Kramer; and three sisters, Kathryn McGowan, Mary Sinacola, and Irene Redding.

Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 3-5:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman with Rev. John Hephner officiating. Interment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Coleman. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory.
