He was born April 15, 1927 in the Town of Little River to Carl and Ruth (Phillips) Strom. Robert married Phyllis Noack September 27, 1947; she preceded him in death April 14, 1998. He operated a dairy farm in Town of Oconto, Town of Abrams and also worked for Leonard Aronson Livestock Dealer. Robert also worked at NEWCAP retiring from there in 1989. He served in the Army during W.W.II.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda (Dennis) Kozlowski, Abrams; three sons Roger Strom, Green Bay; Ronald (Patricia) Strom, Oconto; Randy (Mary) Strom, Altus, OK.; four brothers Vernon Strom, West Allis, WI; Roy (Nancy) Strom, West Bend; Gerald Sr. (Julianna) Strom and Alvin 'Butch' (Sandra) Strom both of Oconto; three sisters Bernice Herkowski, West Allis, WI; Lois (Robert) Borkowski, Marinette; Ruby Pepin, Aransas Pass, TX; a brother-in-law, Norman Last, Oconto; daughters-in-law Patty and Mary Ann Strom; special friends Debra LeMay and Steve Winans; thirteen grandchildren; Fifteen great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three sisters Arlene Folding, Doris Last and Shirley Strom.
Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8. Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the. funeral home with Rev. Frederick Schulz officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
