The former Ruth KRUEGER was born August 2, 1914 in the Town of Pensaukee, the only daughter of the late Fred and Anna (WOLF) KRUEGER. Ruth married Elmer YAHNKE July 30, 1938. The couple would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary next month. Following their marriage they lived in the town of Pensaukee, until moving to Oconto in the 40's. Mrs. YAHNKE was a member of the Oconto United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Elmer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Richard HALMINIAK, Reno, NV and Nona and Howard SCHADEN, Oconto; four grandchildren, Craig (fiancee Gail), Ashley, Jacqueline, and Troy; nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers, Layman, Ed, Paul, and John.
A private family Service of Christian Burial was held Friday afternoon at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto. the Rev. Frederik W. Schulz officiating. Interment at Brookside Cemetery.
