Former Oconto brewer is dead
He was born in Green Bay and served for many years as president of the Oconto Brewing Company. He married the former Alice Arthur in Milwaukee in 1924.
He was a member of the he Elks club, Knights of Columbus Council 617, Oneida Golf and Riding club, Master Brewers' association and the Brewer's Association of America.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom, Green Bay, and Bob, Scottsdale, Ariz., and four grandchildren.
Final rites were conducted Monday morning at St. Matthew's church in Green Bay, following Elks memorial services and parish and Knights of Columbus rosary services Sunday night at the Findeisen-Greiser funeral home. Burial was in Allouez cemetery.
