Ruth "Tommy" M. MAGNIN, 84, 104 N. Franklin St., Oconto Falls, died suddenly and peacefully Saturday afternoon, June 26, 1999 at home.

Ruth was born January 10, 1915 in Oconto Falls to Freeman and Maynee (MORRISON) KILMER. She grew up in Oconto Falls where she attended public schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1932.

On September 5, 1933 she married Elmer MAGNIN in Oconto Falls. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Stiles for many years. "Tommy" was also employed by the Oconto Falls Public School District with food services for 32 years retiring in 1983. She was a very active member of the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church including the women's groups, church choir and the "Munch Bunch". She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors. Tommy was a follower of high school sports, music and other school activities. She was a avid Packer fan and enjoyed theatre, especially Peninsula Players in Door County.

Survivors include her loving family of whom she was so proud, Jim and Dolores MAGNIN, Tom and Pat MAGININ, all of Oconto Falls, Jack and Marilyn MAGNIN of Lena, Carol and John KERSTEN of DePere and Mike MAGNIN of Oconto Falls; 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer, on February 28, 1968; one brother, James KILMER; three sisters, Irma SAMPSON, Elizabeth "Betty" ADAMS, and Annabelle BELKE; a grandson, Matthew MAGNIN, and great-grandson, Steven Thomas GRAEF.

Visitation was held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. There will also be visitation at the Oconto Falls United Methodist after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (today) until the time of funeral services at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Jodi Arpke-Lone officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church for a scholarship fund which will be established for graduating seniors from Lena and Oconto Falls.
