Russell J Walker,95, of N5278 Parkway Road, Pound died Friday, August 27, 1999 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette.

The son of Dr. Lloyd and Freda (Frank) Walker wasw born July 20, 1904 in Pound. He was married to the Former Helen Giese on November 17, 1923 at Pound. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Beaver. Russell developed what is know as Walker's Bay at White Potate Lake.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; nine daughters, Shirley Leavens of Cleveland, Phyllis Sheve of Cleveland, Bernice (David) Wardecke of Bown Deer, Nancy (Jim) Knisken, of Pound, Delores Grandaw and Carole Knoll of Green Bay, Donna (Wally) Meyer of Pound, and Darlene (Gilbert) Weddle of Crivitz; five sons, Clifford Walker of Coleman, Marvin Walker of Pound, Alan (Edith) Walker of Pound, Dale (Phyllis) Walker of Pound, and Darrel (pat) Walker of Pound; 34 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irma Johnson of Lutheran Home in Marinette. He was preceded in death by one son, William, three grandchildren; Ricahard Sheve, John Walker and Clyde Warecke, and one great-grandchild, Ryan Tiefnell, and one brother Lloyd Walker.
