Drs. J.F. Dougherty and G.R. Sandgren of Suring, Dr. D. M. Bailey of Gillett, Dr. J.F. Rose of Lena, Dr. A.F. Slaney of Oconto and Dr. L.E. Rauchscwalbe of Oconto Falls were honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers were Messrs. Jos. Plain, Roland LeComte, James Lane, Floyd Lane, Frank Smith, Jr., and Gene Gauthier.
Burial took place in the Catholic cemetery, where Legionaires M.A. Becker and Robert Lemorande presented Mrs. Goggins with the United States Flag, which had draped her husband's casket. A large group of nurses and hospital employees attended the rites in a body. Many former residents of Oconto Falls were seen in the large group of friends and relatives who paid their last respects to a well-known and well-loved citizen. Dr. Goggins, who had practiced medicine in Oconto County since 1899, died at the local hospital on Wednesday September 23. He is survived by his wife, the former Mae Brady of Appleton and three daughters.
