Richard Detaege Obituary

Detaege, Richard J.

Richard J. Detaege, 82, town of Oconto, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at his home. Dick was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Oconto, to the late Henry and Margaret (Leneau) Detaege. He married Barbara Mayo on July 12, 1958. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2009. Dick served his country in the U.S. Navy. Dick was a farmer his entire life, operated both dairy and beef farms in his lifetime. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto.

Dick is survived by two sons, Kevin (Blanca) Detaege; Daniel Detaege; two brothers, Raymond (Patricia) Detaege; Bernard Detaege; a sister, Dolores Aubry; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Byron Detaege.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be co-celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the church by Rev. Joel Sember and Rev. Bob Karuhn. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
