Robert "Bob' G. Telford, 72, Oconto, entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening February 7, 2001.

He was born to the late William and Louis (Milbauer) Telford November 7, 1928 in Oconto. Bob graduated from Oconto High School in 1946 and went on to attend business training in Appleton. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea from 1951 until 1953. Bob married the former Yvonne Thothson in Coleman in 1955. Bob was self employed for 30 years at Zephyr Oil and was an independent insurance agent for 20 years. He was a member of the Oconto School Board for 19 years, and had the honor of giving all four of his children their diplomas. He was Scout Master for many years, a member of the American Legion since 1953, a member of the Masons, Pine Lodge 188 F&AM of Oconto where he once served as Master, and he was a member and past president of the Cemetery Association and served as Coroner for Oconto County. Bob enjoyed deer camp and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his wife Yvonne; his children Bill (Kay) Telford, Oconto Falls and their children Robert (Jamie), Krissy and Terry, Lori (Ron) Delzer, Abrams and their children, Katie and Ryan; Pat (Dawn) Telford, Oconto and their children Rebecca, Kimberly, and Casey; Ann (Roger) Ristow, Abrams and their children Rachel and Riley; and two sisters, Doris Westergaard, Wausau, and Jean Hermsen, Waukesha. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julie.

Relatives and friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago St., Oconto on Sunday, February 11, from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Masonic services were held at 2:45 p.m. with the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Brother Roman Sleger officiating. The funeral service was followed by military rites by the American Legion, Jones-Modrow-Young Post of Oconto. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
