She was born November 3, 1920 in Clintonville to Richard and Esther (Ebert) Genskow. Ruth graduated from Suring High School in the Class of 1938. She married Milton Schuettpelz August 3, 1940 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes. Ruth was a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with Milton. Spending time with her grandchildren was very important to her, and she belonged to the Oconto County Homemakers. Ruth was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes, belonging to its Ladies Aid in which she had previously been an officer.
Survivors include her husband Milton of Suring; one daughter, Nancy (David) Mancusi of Wisconsin Rapids; one son, Douglas (Sue) Schuettpelz of Green Bay; her mother Esther Genskow, of Suring; one sister, Lois (Maynard) Elfe of Green Bay; one brother, Melvin (Mildred) Genskow of Suring; three grandchildren. Ruth was preceded by her father, an infant sister, and grandson Ryan Mancusi.
