Roger E. Voltz, of Wauwatosa, WI passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep on June 1, 2001 at age 75. He was born in Oconto, Wisconsin in 1926 to Charles Voltz and Elvira Pethke and was a loving stepson to Charles Weigelt. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and sister Beverly (Wallace) DeHut.

He married Madge Adele Albright on June 29, 1951. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage together. He received his Bachelor's degree from Milwaukee State Teacher's College and completed his post-graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For 37 years he was a dedicated chemistry teacher at Wauwatosa East High School. Roger was an award-winning educator, loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and always a brilliant scholar of life.

He will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by his wife of 50 years Madge Adele (Albright) Voltz; his seven children Susan (Brian) Lochen, Elizabeth Voltz, Patricia (Richard) Gaber, Charles Voltz, Roger (Susan) Voltz, Jennifer (Tim) O'Connell and William (Tiffany) Voltz; his ten grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 5 from 4 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa. Memorials may be made to the Wauwatosa East High School Science Club.
