Memorial service was held at Shepherd Hills Lutheran Church in Littleton. There was a cremation.
On June 26, 1945 he married Helen Bartett in Fairbault, Minn. They celebrated 50 years in 1999.
Survivors include his wife Helen (Lyn); three daughters, Cheryl, Karen of Littleton and Joy, Aurora, CO. Two son's, Craig of Minneapolis and Scott of Aurora; his grandchildren, Katie Jo, Tammy, Corey and Billy; two brothers, Mark of Steven's Point; and Richard of Lena.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Emma (Johnson) Makholm and a brother Arthur.
