He was born on August 22, 1933, in Green Bay to the late Bernard and Myrul (Maloney) Lambert. Dick graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1951. On October 9, 1954, he married the former Florence Verstoppen at St. Edward and Isadore Catholic Church, Flintville.
He was employed by James River Paper Company for 43 years until retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mountain, and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 4869, Oconto Falls. Dick was an avid hunter, muskie fisherman and Packers fan. He passed away while fishing, doing what he liked to do best.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Florence; five children, Linda (Jerry) Oryall, Green Bay; Dennis "Chopper" (Cheri) Lambert, Suamico; Janice (Ken) Vandevelde. Mountain; Julie (Tim) Barlament, Abrams; and Lori (Tim) Pallock; Sobieski; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Jim (Jenn) Lambert, Aurora, CO; Mary Lou Couillard, Green Bay; Jerry (Maria) Lambert, Green Bay; Carol (Terry) Young, Winneconne; Lois (Bob) Woodford, Green Bay; Sharon (Mike) Vincent, Oconto; and Toby (Susan) Lambert, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Phillip "Sonny" McLeod; and one brother-in-law, Jack Couillard.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., where a prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. Visitation continues after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Howard, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
