Richard 'Dick' Conrad

Richard 'Dick' Conrad, 75. of Lena. died peacefully at home with his wife and three children holding his hands. He died Saturday, December 30, 2000 after a three month, hard fought struggle with a gleoblastoma fast growing brain tumor. Dick was born in Green Bay February 2, 1925 to the late Henry and Winifred (Pieshek) Conrad. Dick was the loving husband and good friend of Claudine (Lawler) Conrad whom he married on Labor Day September 3, 1956 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Lena.

He will be very much missed by all. Claudine and Dick have two daughters and one son, Kathleen (Jon) Simonar, New Franken, WI; Robert (Laurie) Conrad, Green Bay; and Tina Marie (Fiancee James Cassel) Conrad, Atlanta, GA. Also surviving are five sisters, Marilyn Kokai, Cary, IL: Alice Gaywont, Abrams; Elaine (Joe Kopke, Little Suamico; Lorraine Behnke, Coleman; Joyce (Elery) Tachik, Beaver; two brothers, Cletus (Joan) Conrad, Lena; Clayton Conrad, Marinette; one sister-in-law, Beverly Lawler, Lena; one brother-in-law, Jack (Shirley) Lawler, Lena; and his 97 year old mother-in-law, Hazel Lawler, Lena. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Conrad.

Friends called at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena, Tuesday. January 2, 2001 from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Father Frank Schrage officiating. Interment was at Fort Howard Memorial Gardens, Green Bay. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena assisted the family.
