Store Operator In Gillett Dead

GILLETT — Mrs. Ramona Conard Gaulke, 51, well-known Gillett businesswoman, died unexpectedly about 12:30 a.m. today
while en route to a hospital in Marshfield.

Mrs. Gaulke had operated a women's apparel shop known as Mona's Smartwear for the past 12 years. She was born in Suring
Nov. 7, 1910, and was a daughter of the late Dr. Jule Conard and Mrs. Kate Conard.

After graduation from Gillett high scnool she attended Marquette University where she was graduated in 1932. She then was a
pharmacist in Suring for 14 years before moving to Gillett. She was married to George Gaulke in March of 1940 in Iowa.

Her husband survives with her; mother, and a sister, Mrs. Harold Ankerson of Holmen. i

She was a member of Gillett Methodist church where the Rev. Leslie Simon will conduct final rites at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial
will be in Wanderer's Rest cemetery. Friends may call at Kuehl funeral home from 1 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday
when the body will be taken to the church. A memorial fund is being established.
