Ronald Clement Funk, 61, of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, died July 10, 2001 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Born August 24, 1939 in Green Bay, WI to Theodore
A. Funk and Irene Funk. Ronald graduated from
Oconto High School in 1957, received his B.S. from
the University of Oklahoma in 1962, and his M.S.
from the naval Postgraduate School in 1968. Ronald
served in the United States Navy from 1957 through
1972 with a final rank of Lieutenant. Ronald was a
professor at Rose State College from 1976 until his
retirement in 1994.
Ronald is survived by his four children James, Stacey
Whisenhunt, Benjamin, and Christopher; his brother,
David and wife Mary Ann; his brother, William and
wife Vicki; as well as his grandchildren Aaron Lyles,
Robert Whisenhunt, Christopher Whisenhunt, and
Joshua Funk. The family received relatives and
friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from
12 noon to 2 p.m. Monday, July 16. Funeral services
were conducted Monday 2 p.m. at the funeral home
with the Rev. Thomas Beck officiating and burial at
Brookside Cemetery.
