Robert B. Ellis is dead.
The funeral services were held at 3 pm Tuesday afternoon at the Fratzhie Funeral home in Madison. The remains were brought here Wednesday afternoon by auto and burial was made in the Evergreen cemetery. Rev. Fr. F.C. St. Clair conducted services at the grave.
Mr. Ellis was born January 3, 1868 at Bangor, Maine. He came to Oconto at the age of one year with his parents. Robert Ellis was an employee at the Citizens Nat'l bank at the time of its organization, where he worked until the year 1910, when the family moved to Wausaukee. He was a member of the second graduating class of the local high school. For the past 20 years he was a state bank examiner.
Mr. Ellis married Mary C. Runkel about 40 years ago. Besides her one son, A.R. Ellis of Appleton, survives.
