Reno A. Kluge (Amos) 78, 13235 S. Green Lake Ln., Mountain, WI, formerly of Hortonville, died Saturday, October 28, 2000, at Community Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.

Reno was born on February 7, 1922, in the Town of Dale, the son of Paul and Anna (Begolke) Kluge, and as a boy was raised by Tunta and Uncle Kluge. On April 25, 1942, he was united in marriage to Betty Berzill in Appleton. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in Europe from 1942 to 1945. Reno co-owned and operated a bakery in Hortonville along with PeeWee Burns and was employed for 33 years at American Can until he retired to God's Country in 1984. He was also an avid CB enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty; his four children, Guy (Cheryl) Kluge, Hortonville; Barb Kluge, Appleton; Rick Kluge, Hortonville; Bonnie (Larry) Tennie, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merlin (Ellen) Kluge, Neenah; and Paul (Elaine) Kluge, Appleton; three sisters, Gertrude Gallow, New London; Alma Beekman, Appleton; Juanita (Sonnie) Filz, Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Kluge, Hortonville; and Celia Kluge, California. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Tunta and Uncle Kluge; three brothers, Lee, Victor, and Sylvester; two sisters, Dorothy and Norma.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 31, at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral home in Hortonville with Rev. Paul Schuenamann of Tabor Lutheran Church of Mountain officiating. Interment in Mountain Cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home.
