Raymond A. Klass, 80, Swansea, IL. born on October 20, 1918 in Oconto,
WI. died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville IL.
Mr. Klass retired in 1967 as a Master Sergeant form the US Air Force
after 27 years of service, during which he received the Air Force Air
Metal. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Fairview
Heights, IL. and the Eighth Air Force Historical Society.
Surviving are his wife Margaret, (nee Schoer) Klass, whom he married
October 15, 1942 in St. Louis, MO.; two sons, James (Sherry) Klass,
Freeburg, IL; and Richard (Gerri) Klass, Evansville Ind.; a brother
Robert (Jacqueline) Klass, Marinette, Wi.; a sister Frances Tewhill,
Phoenix, AZ.; and four grandchildren, David, Nicole, Kati and Ashley
Klass.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. and Eleanor (nee
Watterich) Klass; a sister, Mary Ellen Rose; and a brother George Klass.
