Richard Allen Bond, 56, 1133 E. Nawada St., Appleton died August 23, 2000 in Appleton.

Richard was born May 13, 1944 in Boise, Idaho to the late Howard and Frances (Coniff) Bond. He graduated from Oconto High School in 1962 and from Milton College in 1969. After graduating he worked for Heins Enterprises, Oshkosh. Richard managed restaurants in Oshkosh, Madison and Oklahoma City, OK. He returned to Wisconsin and over the next 17 years co-owned and managed High Cliff Supper Club, Allouez Cafe, J. Daun's Family Restaurant and the Market Place Cafe. On retiring from the restaurant business he spent the last 1 1/2 years working for Wise recycling. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Appleton. Richard loved to travel and planned many family vacations.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Bond; two daughters, Emily Jane Bond of Minneapolis, MN; Abigail Lynn Bond of Appleton; other relatives and many family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven.

Friends called at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton, from 10 a.m. Saturday until noon. Mass of Christian Burial was noon Saturday at the Church with Rev. John Borgstadt officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, assisted the family.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
