Percy Williams Rites Sunday
He was born December 2, 1880 in Nelson, New Brunswick, Canada and resided in Oconto for the past 48 years. He was a plumbing and heating contractor for many years. He was a member of the Masons, Royal Arch Masons and Knights Templar, of which he was a past commander, and the First Presbyterian church Oconto.
The body was taken to the McQueen Sheffield funeral home where it lay in state until 2:30 p.m. Sunday services from the Presbyterian church with the Reverend Newton Roberts officiating. Masonic services were held from the funeral home Saturday evening. The Knights Templar formed and honor guard at the church and cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Glynn, Donald Holt, Garner Sowle, Emil Staidl, Gilbert Panetti and O. A. Sorensen. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his wife Clara; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Sylvester of Oconto; one brother Silas Williams of Nelson, New Brunswick, Canada: one sister, Helen Williams of Boston, Mass. and 11 grandchildren.
