Mrs. Gordon (Phyllis) Frees, 73, 119 Memorial Drive Oconto died Monday evening, November 22, 1999 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette. The former Phyllis Scott was born June 23, 1926 in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of the late William and Isabella (Diaz) Scott. Phyllis was united in marriage to Gordon Frees on March 30, 1944 at Glasgow, Scotland. The couple had resided in the Oconto area for the past 20 years. Phyllis was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 55 years, Gordon; their children, Cynthia (James) Demske, Plano, TX; Tammy Frees, Oconto; three grandchildren Bart Kautz and Joyel Barnard, Omro and Ian Frees, Oconto; 5 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by a daughter Sylvia Kautza. Relatives and friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago Street, Oconto from 12 until I PM Saturday, December 4, 1999. Memorial Service was at 1 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Private interment followed. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
