Pearl Lenore Eggert, a resident of Woodland Village, Suring died at Woodland August 26, 2000.

She was born March 17, 1916 to Joseph and Lora Hammond Senn in the Village of Lena. She married Arnold E. Eggert on June 2.2, 1935at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gillett. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1980. Pearl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Maple Valley.

Pearl lived most of her life in the Gillett area. She was a 4-H leader and did Home Health Care. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening and raising chickens.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Ronald Hicks, Suring; daughter-in-law, Marianne Eggert, Kenosha; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bardella Gorman, New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Esther Senn, Loios Schmidt Rose Senn, Dorothy Eggert and Theresa Madsen.

Pearl was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Judd; one son, Norbert Eggert; one sister, Hazel Hephner, and brothers, Joseph Jr., Arthur, Norman, Marvin and Willard.

Private funeral services were held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home In Suring with Pastor Russel Kampfer officiating. Burial in Maple Valley Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial will be established.
