CIVIL WAR VETERAN
DIES HERE SUDDENLY
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Joseph's Catholic church, Rev. Fr. L. C. Becker officiating. Internment will be in the Oconto Catholic cemetery.
Peter DonLevy was born in Geneva, N. Y., on May 29, 1847. He moved to Oconto with his parents while still a young lad and from that time on his nome was here. When the Civil War broke out he responded to the call of his country.
He was married to Julia Voy in St. Joseph's Catholic church, Oconto, in 1876. A number of years ago he served as city marshal and for the last 34 years he had been assessor for the city.
He is survived by the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Obertin and Mrs. John Berry, both of Milwaukee and Mrs. William Zeitler, Huron, S. D.; three brothers Homer, George and Frank, all of Oconto, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wagner, Green Bay.
