Paul Bigelow, 56, 363 S. Adams St., Oconto Falls, died Tuesday evening, April 27, 1999 at Green Bay hospital following a 13 month illness with kidney cancer.

He was born June 19, 1942, in Oconto Falls to Ward and Clarice (Krueger) Bigelow. He grew up in Oconto Falls where he attended public schools, graduating from high school with the Class of 1960. On May 18, 1963, he married Colleen Mansteen at Grace Lutheran Church. Paul lived in Oconto Falls all of his life where he was employed at Scott Paper Co, for 33 years. Following his retirement in 1994, he worked for Dan's Power Sports. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. "Paulie" loved to hunt and fish with his family and many friends. He possessed a unique knowledge and zest for hunting and fishing to the point where there are very few species of fish he didn't catch or small game he didn't hunt.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen; his parents, Ward "Jibbs" and Clarice Bigelow who gave Paul his love of the outdoors, his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Al Korpi, all of Oconto Falls, and one son, Jeff Bigelow of Phoenix, Ariz.; his two grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Trevor and McKenzie Korpi; one sister, Judy (Gary) Rosenberg of Stevens Point; his mother-in-law, Bernice Wild of Oconto Falls; a sister-in-law, Marlene Ehricke of De Pere; a brother-in-law, Bruce Mansteen of California; one niece, Jamee Faucett of Appleton; three nephews, Jore (JoAnn) Faucett of Onalaska; Chad Rosenberg and fiancée, Jennifer of Milwaukee, and Troy Rosenberg of Appleton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Ella Bigelow and Paul and Edith Krueger.

Visitation was held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls on Friday and at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday after 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Bill Sutlief officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the upcoming benefit for The Family of Drew Olson.
