Orville (Bogie) Van Boven 73, Stiles, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 16 at his home. He was born Nov. 14, 1911, in Stiles to the late Henry and Emma (Beyers) Van Boven.
He married Josephine Mathey in 1928, she preceded him in death. He later married Eugenia Wertel on Jan. 18, 1977.
Mr Van Boven lived in Stiles most of his life where he was a mason. He also served in World War II and was a member of the Machickanee American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife, Eugenia, one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Frances, Dayton, Ohio; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce and John Neil, Norwich, N.Y.; Jane Van Boven, St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and first wife, Mr. Van Boven was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
