Otto G. Schmidt Burial Wednesday

Otto G. Schmidt, 60, 302 South Washington st., Oconto Falls, died Sunday evening at the Oconto Falls Memorial hospital following a short illness.

He was born July 7, 1902 in the town of Ellington in Outagamie county and has resided here for the past 12 years in Oconto county. He married the former Winifred Hall in 1940 in Oconto Falls. Mr. Schmidt was employed by the Shellman Publishing Co. as a bookkeeper. He was a veteran of World War II and affiliated with Army hospital corps where he served in the fron base at New Guinea. He was a member of the American Legion Post, Oconto Falls, and the Methodist church, Oconto Falls.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Soulek funeral home, Oconto Falls, with the Reverend Cecil Dawson officiating with burial in the Woodlawn cemetery.

The deceased is survived by his wife Winifred; two brothers, Herman of Marinette and Leo of Sauk City, and one sister, Mrs. Martha Moen of Mishicot.
