APPLETON - Orville Carl Wilke, age 73, passed away on November 27, 1999 at the home of his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 21,1926 in Oconto Falls. Orville had served two years in the Philippines while in the Navy. He worked at Kimberly dark and Neenah paper for a combined total of 25 years. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses he held onto the hope of being resurrected back to this paradise earth and ministered to that effect. He knew many people in the area.

Orv is survived by his wife, Marian (Wolske), Appleton; and three sons; Ronald (Diane), Vardaman, Miss.; Gary (Crystal), Appleton; and Jerald (Barbara), Shiocton. He also had ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ian Morrison conducted a memorial service Dec. 1 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Appleton. A memorial fund has been established.

Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Home served the family.
