SURING - Otto A. Firgens, 89, Suring, died Wednesday at a Green Bay hospital. He was bom Dec. 13, 1893 in the Town of How (Oconto County), and was a lifetime resident of the area.

On Nov 28, 1925, he married Emma Buhrandt in Suring. The couple lived and farmed all of their life in that area.

Mr. Firgens was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He served with the U S Army during World War I. He was also a member of the American Legion Post, Suring.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Mae) Adams, and Mrs. Norman (Ruby) Gipp, both of Suring; one son, Orville Buhrandt, Gillett; one brother, Oscar Firgens, Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Etta) Schuettpelz, Suring; Mrs. Augusta Gerndt, Milwaukee; Mrs. Marie Anderson, Clinton, la.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife, one daughter, one son, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at the Soulek Funeral Home, Suring, after 4 p.m. Friday. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Hayes, with the Rev. Floyd Gogolin officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
