Mrs. Yarwood was a pioneer of Oconto County, having lived at Gillett for sixty years. Her husband's father, (Rev. Hugh Yarwood, a Methodist minister who brought his family from England and accepted a pastorate at Gillett.) a minister, settled at Gillett shortly after the Volk families settled here at Oconto Falls.
