OCONTO FALLS - Nelda L. Spice, 74, 370 S. Main ST., died Wednesday morning, August 25, 1999 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born December 12, 1924 in Douglas, Kansas to Emil and Ida (Schartzfaeger) Post. She grew up in the Waukesha area and graduated from Oconomowoc High School. Following graduation, she attended nursing school and became an LPN, working for Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

On June 12, 1948 she married Milo Spice at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waukesha. Following their marriage the couple moved to Oconto Falls where they have made their home all these years. Nelda was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors are her husband, Milo; four sons and two sons-in-law, Patrick and Catherine Spice, Iron Mountain, Mich.; Michael Spice, Green Bay; Anthony and LouAnn Spice, Green Bay; Terrance Spice, Peshtigo; three daughters and two sons-in-law; Carol Spice, Green Bay; Angela and Robert Coppens, Oconto Falls; Karen (Hap) Washburn, Waukesha; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill "Willie" Post, Okauchee; Albert (Nancy) Post, Oconomowoc; one sister Shirley Stilley, Okauchee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Peter, one brother, Eric Post in WWII and two sisters, Lyla Thompson and Frieda Laabs.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, August 28 at the church with Deacon Chuck Daily officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls, served the family.
