Nellie Carolyn (Johnvin) MARSH

Nellie Carolyn (Johnvin) I Marsh, 94, of Suring, WI formerly of Mountain, died Saturday, January 16, 1999 at the Woodland Village Nursing Home, Suring, where she made her home for the past five years.

Nellie was born in Daggett, MI on February 7, 1904 the daughter of Joseph and Delia (Parritt) Johnvin. She married John "Jack" Marsh, May 19,1920 in Mountain. He preceded her in death in 1953. Nellie and Jack lived in Tipler for seven years before returning to the Mountain area after which Jack died and Nellie continued to live until moving to the nursing home. Nellie was a homemaker and wife of a baseball pitcher, her husband Jack loved baseball and was considered by several big league teams. Nellie enjoyed going to the games when she could. She attended Northwoods Bible Fellowship Church, Lakewood, where she was active in the Ladies Aid.

She is survived by five daughters, Delia (Victor) Sperberg, Mountain, Neva Smith, Suring, Nettie Reuter, Suring, Enid (Gerald) Mattson, Townsend, Jonelle (John) Gregg, Wabeno; two sons, Jack (June) Marsh, Pulaski and Carl Marsh, Suring; one sister-in- law, Elsie (Johnvin) Schobow, Sur- ing; 28 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren. Also survived by Claressa (Hatfield) Clemens, Gaastra, MI who lived with the family for some years.

Preceded by parents; husband, Jack; son, Ivan Joel "Buddy"; sister, Bess Johnvin; five brothers, Solomon, Jesse, William, Phillip 'Ole' and Edmund Johnvin; five grandchildren, Yvonne (Sperberg) Davis, Mertin Davis, Jackie Davis, Delia Davis and Brise Sperberg and two sons-in-law, Wilmer Smith and William Reuter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 1999 from 1:00- 6:30 p.m' at the Northwoods Bible Fellowship Church, Lakewood. Praise service will be held at 3 p.m. for Nellie Marsh. Funeral service at 6:30 p.m. with Pastors Scott Van Laanen and Dennis Larson officiating. Interment at Lakewood Forest Cemetery in spring.

Suminski Funeral Home, Wabeno assisted the family with arrangements.
