APPLET0N - Noel H, , Ansorge, age 93, died Friday afternoon, April 2, 1999. He was born, August 28, 1905, in Gil1ett, to the late Frank and Esther (Peterson) Ansorge. He was a graduate of Gillett High School, accomplishing this in three years, and a graduate of Lawrence University, Appleton. At the age of 15, he was employed as a
brakeman for the railroad. Noel served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII and was honorably discharged with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a school teacher in Mosinee, for three years and was then employed, as a manager, by Travelers Insurance Co.,Dayton, Ohio, for 17 years. He was employed by Brunnel Insurance Co., Chicago, retirjng at the age of 65. Noel was then asked to stay with the company, which he did, until the age of 83 and then retired to the Heritage Retirement Home in Appleton.
Noel is survived by his two sisters and one brother-in-law: Vema and George Narovec; Carol Halversen, all ofAppleton; his two brothers and one sister- in-law: Leslie and Beverly Ansorge, Stevens Point; and Emery J. Ansorge, Gil!~~t; and four nieces.
A memorial service will be held at The Heritage, Appleton, at a later date. Interment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett is assisting Noel's family with arrangements.
