He was born on January 21, 1913, to Fred and Louise (Wesner) Tisch. He attended Oconto Falls schools, graduating from high school with the Class of 1931. While in high school, Norman managed the basketball team and once completed 98 consecutive free-throws after practice which was witnessed by the coach and several players. In 1940, Norman and Dorothy Konitzer were united in marriage and in January of this year, celebrated 61 years together. Norman was employed by O'Neill Garage in Oconto Falls as a mechanic until the business was sold. He then was employed by Oconto Electric Cooperative for 27 years as their appliance serviceman, retiring in 1975. Norman was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a devoted lifelong Packers and Cubs fan and could "fix" most anything.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; seven children Donna (Huey) House, Robert (Ruth) Tisch, all of Green Bay; Janet (Wayne) Robaidek, Pulaski; Linda (Dave) Rabas, Spruce; Carolyn (Tom) Schuster, Jerry (Vicki) Tisch, all of Green Bay; Diane (Rick) Roundy, Wrights-town; 20 grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Tisch, Ladysmith, WI; two sisters-in-law, Magdalen and Mavis Tisch, both of Oconto Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger in 1979; a granddaughter, Jodi (Rabas) Panzer in 1999; a grandson-in-law, Paul Krysiak; three sisters, Vanda, Molly and Lydia; four brothers Gottlieb, Henry "Peck", Walter "Cocky" and Arno "Huntz" Tisch. Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls Wednesday; a prayer service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls with the Rev. Fr. Harold Beerntsen and Patricia DeGroot, Parish Director, officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
