Mrs. Carl (Nora) Thompson, 100, Green Bay, former Pulaski resident died Friday, February 12, 1999 at her home where she resided with her son, Lyle. The daughter of the late Peter and Albertina (Johansen) Anderson was born November 19, 1898 in Ashwaubenon. On August 27, 1924 she married Carl Thompson. Nora took her first airplane ride when she was 90 years of age, going to Las Vegas with her son LaVern. "Grandma' liked to attend graduations of her family and had many riddles for the grandchildren. She liked polka music and her favorite song was the Tennessee Waltz which was co-authured by her friend, Pee Wee King.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine (William) Brokiewiez, Green Bay; Delores (Gerald) Bickel, Oconto; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Raymond (Irene) Thompson, Abrams; Lyle Thompson, Green Bay; La Vern (Beverly) Thompson, Pensaukee; Carl "Ace" (Mary) Thompson, Oconto Falls; 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1960; eight grandchildren and six sisters, Anna, Bertha, Alma, Emma, Olga and Matilda.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski with a grandson, Rev. Tim Bickel and Rev. Dennis Schott officiating. Laurie Thompson, Marcia Nelsen, Pam Fischer, Monica Coopman, Carol Konitzer and Virginia Bickel served as pallbearers. Burial in Owego Lutheran Cemetery.
